Global Energy Management System (GEMS)

Display / HMI

Monitor site-wide utilities including power, water, liquids, steam, gas, compressed air and process gases

Our Global Energy Management System (GEMS) is a cloud-based platform that provides a complete solution to remotely measure and monitor site utilities (energy, water, gas, steam, etc).

Simply connect your Modbus RTU (RS485) sensors to our data acquisition module (DAM) and data will be automatically sent to GEMS.

GEMS Features

  • Cloud architecture with MQTT protocol
  • Independent of SCADA systems and factory IT networks
  • Wireless 4G IIoT connectivity (default) with Ethernet/Wi-Fi alternatives
  • 1-second data recording per channel
  • Ability to create calculated channels
  • Infinitely expandable via Data Acquisition Modules (DAMs)
  • Role-based access control and encrypted data transmission
  • Configurable alarms (SMS/email) and service reminders
  • Dashboards for live KPIs, trends, and historical analysis

Data Acquisition Module (DAM)

The DAM is the backbone of GEMS, serving as the data collection and transmission unit.

Specifications:

  • Connects up to 25 Modbus RTU devices or 50 channels at 1-second intervals
  • Typical sensors output 3–10 registers (channels), with user-selected parameters
  • Expandable by adding more DAMs to reduce cabling and cover large sites
  • Rugged industrial design (DIN-rail/wall mount, –30°C to +70°C operating range)
  • Built-in hardware watchdog for reliability
  • Wireless 4G LTE modem standard (SIM card required), Ethernet/Wi-Fi optional

Monitoring & Dashboards

GEMS provides real-time dashboards and analytics tools, designed for both operators and management.

Dashboard features:

  • Live KPIs: configurable by the end user
  • Live Data: make changes to equipment settings and see the result instantaneously
  • Thresholds & Alarms: set by user, with SMS/email notifications
  • Service Reminders: based on operating hours or calendar intervals
  • Historical Data & Graphs: identify trends, validate projects, and optimize performance
  • Custom Utility Views: dashboards adapt to installed sensors (e.g., compressed air, steam, electricity, gas, or water)
